About Us

The Mid-Hudson Woodworkers (MHW) is a chapter of the Northeastern Woodworkers Association (NWA), “a group of people who love woodworking and want to get better at it”; their base of operations is NY's Capital District. We, Mid-Hudson, are based in the Kingston, NY area. NWA also has Special Interest Groups (SIGs) whose focus is on a particular subset of woodworking.

MEETINGS of the Chapter
We meet on the third Thursday of most months at 7:30 PM at the Hurley Reformed Church, 11 Main St. in the town of Hurley, NY. Click here for directions. This summer(2017) we will not have a meeting in July. The November meetings are not held at the church, it's location for 2017 has yet to be determined.

We conduct classes and workshops separately and in conjunction with the NWA. Meetings include guest speakers, show-and-tell and Members Helping Members sessions. There is also a lending library of books and audio-visual materials. The Association also works with community groups and non-profits in woodworking.

Our Mid-Hudson Woodworkers Show is held every Fall at the Hurley Reformed Church. We also actively participate in the NWA's 2 day Woodworkers Showcase in Saratoga Springs, NY every Spring.

In addition to our regular meetings, there are special interest groups which conduct their own events:
    Kaatskill Woodturners Click KWA
