The Mid-Hudson Woodworkers (MHW) is a chapter of the Northeastern Woodworkers Association (NWA), “a group of people who love woodworking and want to get better at it”. The NWA base of operations is New York's Capital District. We, Mid-Hudson Chapter, are based in the Kingston, New York area. NWA also has a number of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) whose focus is on a particular subset of woodworking.
MEETINGS OF THE CHAPTER
We meet on the third Thursday of most months at 7:30 PM at the Hurley Reformed Church, 11 Main St. in the town of Hurley, NY. Click here for directions. The November meetings are not held at the church, but a location will be announced in October.
We conduct classes and workshops separately and in conjunction with the NWA. Meetings include guest speakers, show-and-tell and Members Helping Members sessions. There is also a lending library of books and audio-visual materials. The Association also works with community groups and non-profits in woodworking.
SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS [SIGs]
In addition to our regular meetings, there are special interest groups which conduct their own events. Visit our SIGs page for details.
